The Endless Dream of Sun

Perpetual waves wash over me

Their ideas of love and pain

As real as I feel them to be

The shore that I am

Giving weight to restless tides

Their sting but a thought

From weightless ecstasy

Like an iris terrified

Of revolving darkness

Though sunshine returns in rhythm

Like beats from a hidden heart

That feeds on darkness

Where tears of light never bleed

Or shadows ever dance

Yet petals open still

Toward the endless dream of sun
