Walking into Spring
Walking into spring
The silence wakes from sleep
As forgotten souls through song
And soft red-feathered sheath
Awaken eyes and ears
To the waking flight within
From the leaves that held on
Through the crest of cold
To die peacefully in spring
In the arms of such sweet song
To the return of snow to river
Through form’s fluidic breath
I feel again so held
By the lovely sounds of song
